Job summary

IntelePeer is seeking a Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and support customer-facing systems with a focus on scalable solutions. The role can be based in Denver, CO or Dania Beach, FL and involves working with development teams to deliver high-value software in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with Product, Operations, and Finance, contribute to design reviews, and proactively identify solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or related field.
• 1–2 years experience with MySQL or other relational database technologies (proficient in SQL).
• Proficiency in Python, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
• Shell scripting and REST principles.
• NoSQL knowledge is a plus; Linux troubleshooting a plus.
• Familiarity with unit tests and testing frameworks a plus.
• Agile methodologies or SDL; security-minded coding practices.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and version control with Git.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design documents and participate in design reviews.
• Be proactive and inquisitive in finding solutions.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop code, scripts, extracts, and other artifacts required to solve complex technical issues
• Contribute to design documents and participate in design reviews
• Be proactive and inquisitive in finding solutions
• Work closely with Product, Operations and Finance to help troubleshoot, identify, and solve software issues
• Determine severity and impact of issues on the business and communicate status to Management
• Work both independently and with a group of highly skilled developers
• Be flexible with work hours and schedule; provide on-demand support as needed
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Bachelors degree in engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.
• Expertise & Experience: 1-2 years experience with MySQL or other relational database technologies (proficient in SQL)
• Python

• Shell scripting
• Working knowledge of REST principles
• NoSQL DB knowledge is a plus
• Network and Linux troubleshooting skills is a plus
• Familiarity with unit tests or testing frameworks a plus
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies or SDL
• Security awareness and secure coding practices
• Understanding of continuous integration (CI) and deployment (CD) practices
• Experience with Git and version control
• Successfully communicate technical issues clearly to individuals with varying levels of technical knowledge and understanding
• Effectively and efficiently solve mission critical technical problems in a fast-paced business environment
