Job summary

Hamilton Company is seeking a software engineer to develop across layers of architecture for desktop-based applications. You will design, document, implement and test new features, integrating UI concepts with business logic and data.

The role is onsite in Reno, NV, collaborating across teams to deliver robust software and interfaces in a Microsoft stack. You will work within an agile environment, contribute to API interfaces, and leverage SQL databases with Entity Framework while supporting

Qualifications

• Fluency in C# or C++ with OO design principles.
• Desire to work in the Microsoft stack including .NET, MSSQL, and C#.
• Experience creating/maintaining interfaces such as RESTful APIs and WCF contracts.
• Strong SQL database design with Entity Framework.
• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or Angular 5+.
• Familiarity with CI/CD build processes and Git.
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM development.
• Able to analyze and expand provided requirements.
• Able to anticipate customer/product needs.
• Able to communicate with other business units.
• Able to work solo and in teams.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
• Able to evaluate opportunity costs in decisions.
• Experience deploying on standalone robotics platforms a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop features/tools across desktop-based applications (UI to data).
• Contribute to UI layout, interface development, and architectural changes for new features.
• Analyze and fix software defects; meet timelines and communicate across departments.
• Develop project estimates and timelines with other teams.
