Job summary

Hamilton Company in Reno, NV is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and develop precision measurement devices from concept through prototyping and into production. You will create CAD models, dimensioned drawings, and tooling specifications while coordinating with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Ideal candidates have strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and proven experience with Creo or SolidWorks and tolerance studies in a high-precision environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in designing machined/cast or molded components.
• Solid modeling CAD experience and tolerance studies.
• Creo preferred; SolidWorks acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop from concept to implementation using CAD and prototyping.
• Plan projects with schedules, estimates, and cost projections.
• Lead design testing to ensure performance across stages.
• Document specifications, test results, and engineering changes.
• Collaborate across departments and with vendors; troubleshoot floor issues.
