Job summary

ThriveCart is seeking a full-time software engineer to build a new TypeScript system that will replace the existing PHP platform while maintaining it during the transition. You will own features from requirements to production and work across both stacks with strong judgment and accountability.

You will use AI coding tools daily to accelerate development, ensure code quality, and contribute to incident response.

Qualifications

• Active, hands-on TypeScript experience
• Past professional experience with PHP (Laravel)
• Experience integrating payment platforms (Stripe, PayPal)
• Ability to own features from requirements to production
• Comfort with AI-assisted coding daily

Responsibilities

• Develop the new TypeScript-based system to replace the PHP platform
• Maintain the legacy PHP system during transition
• Make technical decisions and justify trade-offs
• Write tests and participate in code reviews
• Respond to incidents and assist with post-mortems
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA and other engineers
