Job summary

ThriveCart is seeking a Full-time Software Engineer to own a new TypeScript system that will replace the legacy PHP platform, while maintaining it during the migration. You’ll work across stacks, make technical decisions, and be accountable for what you ship.

You’ll use AI coding tools daily to accelerate development, contribute to code quality and testing, and collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and other engineers in a fast-moving SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on TypeScript experience and production-grade cod evelopment.
• Experience migrating or integrating with PHP/Laravel systems.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and containerization (Docker).
• Ability to design, implement, and ship features end-to-end.
• Comfort with AI-assisted development and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Own features from requirements to production in the new TS system.
• Maintain the PHP system during the migration with clear decisions.
• Write tests, participate in code reviews, and monitor production.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and other engineers.
• Develop runbooks and contribute to AI workflow standards.
