Job summary

SixGen, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer Level 0 for onsite work at Fort Meade, MD. The role requires TS/SCI with poly and up to 20 years of experience, with a strong focus on developing and maintaining complex software systems to meet mission requirements.

The engineer will collaborate within a team, support system design decisions, and adapt to evolving customer needs while working five days per week onsite. Salary ranges from $127,000 to $243,000, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Ability to develop, maintain, and enhance software systems.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems.
• Ensure software solutions meet documented requirements.
• Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements.
• Document testing results and support software quality efforts.
• Resolve software problem reports and support ongoing system maintenance.
• Contribute to system design activities and provide input on hardware/software trade-offs.
• Support software reuse and COTS/GOTS integration efforts.
• Participate in requirements analysis and synthesis from system-level requirements to individual software components.
• Work independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.
• Support technical discussions and contribute to solution development.
• Adapt to evolving mission and customer requirements.
