Job summary

Akina, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for Fort Meade, Maryland, to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems including analytics and real-time processing.

The role involves independent and team work, design reviews, and problem resolution based on documented requirements. Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s degree in CS or related field (or 4 extra SWE years in lieu of degree) and typically 7 years of experience for SWE-1.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Seven (7) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and enhances complex software systems.
• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to design requirements.
• Resolves software problem reports.
• Provides input to system design including trade-offs and reuse.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline

Four years of additional SWE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree

Seven years experience as SWE in similar programs
