Job summary

Synergy ECP in Columbia, SC is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and enhance complex software systems in defense, intelligence, and health care domains.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Java or JavaScript, Apache Tomcat, Elastic ELK/BEATs, SCRUM, Unix, and shell scripting, plus strong software documentation and code review skills. U.S. Citizenship and TS/SCI clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 3+ years of SWE experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 5+ years of SWE experience.
• Seven or more years of SWE experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Demonstrated hands-on software development experience.
• Experience with Java or JavaScript and Apache Tomcat.
• Experience with Elastic (ELK/BEATs) and SCRUM agile methods.
• Experience in Unix, shell scripting, CM tools, and Web Services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain and enhance complex software systems.
• Work individually or as part of a team; review test results and resolve issues.
• Contribute to system design discussions, including hardware/software trade-offs and OSS/COTS usage.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure software quality.
