Job summary

Aptos is seeking a Software Engineer to build experimental trading products and scalable trading infrastructure. You will design and ship fast-moving APIs, data pipelines, and evaluation tooling for the Aptos blockchain in a self-directed environment.

You will collaborate with protocol, infrastructure, and product engineers to deliver production-ready code, joining a lean team with autonomy at either Palo Alto, CA or New York, NY offices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building and shipping products.
• Strong experience with TypeScript or similar languages.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort using AI tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Background in payments, DeFi, or TradFi is a plus.
• Experience with blockchain or Web3 is a plus.

About The Role

We're looking for a talented, driven Software Engineer to build the experimental trading products on Aptos.

This role will have significant impact and visibility - . You'll help shape technical direction and may grow into leading other engineers as the team scales.

You should love building products from scratch and experimenting building and learning from how those products are used. You will be joining a lean team with a lot of autonomy – you should be a self-starter and thrive on self-directed work in a fast-paced environment.

This role sits in our Palo Alto, CA or New York, NY office.

What you'll be doing:

• Working fast to design, build, and experiment with trading products for the Aptos blockchain
• Developing scalable APIs, indexing services, and data pipelines to support trading data access

What you bring:

• Background in payments, DeFi, or TradFi (a plus)

• Web3 experience or familiarity (a plus)

The base salary range for this full-time position is $150k-$250k. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and typical maximum target for new hire salaries for the position of a candidate based in the Bay Area at any level. We do hire exceptionally talented professionals with decades of experience in their field. As such, our range may be higher than what is displayed. Our base salary ranges are determined by experience and location, and we hire at all levels for multiple roles. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills demonstrated during the interviews, working experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only and do not include equity, tokens, or benefits.
