Position: Software Engineer (C-Language)

Location: Germantown, MD

Overview:

Candidate must have C/C++ skills, be energetic, creative, and team-oriented to work on the latest SATCOM modem and networking technologies. The individual will be part of an engineering team that develops embedded networking and application software using the latest toolchains in an agile software development environment. The position is based in our Germantown, Maryland office.

Active Top Secret Clearance is required.

Here's what you will be working on:

• Software design, development, integration, and support activities
• Complete development tasks within the agreed timebox
• Analyze and resolve software issues

Here's what you need to have:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, OR a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of software development experience in C/C++ and automated unit testing
• 5+ years of experience in network protocols, packet processing, socket programming, messaging libraries, and scheduling
• Experience with scripting languages, Python/Shell, source control systems (e.g., GIT)
• Experience in Multi-threaded application development and inter-process communication
• Experience with agile development methodology, especially Scrum and Atlassian tools like Jira
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work collaboratively within a team environment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
