Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Software Engineer, Test Automation to join a technology team on a 12-month contract. The role focuses on building automated testing solutions for data platforms, ETL processes, and enterprise applications using Python, PyTest, PostgreSQL, SQL, and CI/CD tools.

You will work with engineering and business stakeholders to design scalable testing strategies, enhance automation frameworks, and support critical releases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Test Automation, SDET, QA Automation, or Software Engineering.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Hands-on experience with PyTest or similar Python testing frameworks.
• Experience testing ETL processes, data pipelines, or backend systems.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience creating and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipeline testing and release processes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
