Braintrust is seeking a highly technical Technical Analyst / Associate to join our team. You are a strong software engineer with a focus on applying technical skills to venture investing in B2B tech, FinTech, and DeepTech.

Hands-on software engineering ability is the core qualification, with no requirement for prior venture investing experience. You will develop and maintain Lighthouse, build internal tooling for data-driven investing, and support portfolio companies across the tech stack, while

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on programming experience with Python, JavaScript, and/or PHP.
• Experience developing and maintaining web applications.
• Comfortable across the full tech stack, not specialized in one area.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve Lighthouse platform and internal tools.
• Build and integrate data-driven investing support tools.
• Work across backend, frontend, infrastructure, APIs, and data integrations.
• Ensure application reliability, deployments, monitoring, security, and infra.
• Translate technical findings into diligence conclusions for investments.
