Unusual Ventures is seeking a generalist Software Engineer to join Rime in San Francisco. In this role, you will work across the entire stack, focusing on platform APIs, systems, and infrastructure while developing towards a next-generation architecture.

Ideal candidates have over 5 years of backend engineering experience and are proficient in low-level languages such as C++, Rust, or Go. Join a small, high-ownership team that values direct influence and meaningful contributions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IC engineering experience with strong backend fundamentals.
• Experience with at least one low level language: C++, Rust, or Go.
• Experience with integrating 3rd party APIs.

Responsibilities

• Work across Rime's stack including platform APIs and systems.
• Maintain and harden the current TTS API stack.
• Integrate token-based authentication for APIs.
