Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Colorado Springs is recruiting a software engineer to sustain GPS Control Segment activities. You will plan, develop, document, test, and debug software to support mission-critical capabilities for warfighters, allies, and civil users.

The role requires Agile experience, Linux proficiency, and C/C++ skills with a TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one. This position is based in Colorado Springs, CO with potential for related travel.

The GPS Control Segment II (GCS II) Sustainment team in Colorado Springs, CO is enabling our customer's mission of delivering and sustaining reliable GPS capabilities to America's warfighters, allies and civil users; and we're looking for motivated self-driven engineers to join us.

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile methods, processes, and practices
  • Proficient in Linux OS/Solaris OS
  • Proficient in C++ and/or C#
  • Interim Top Secret to start with the ability to obtain and maintain an TS/SCI
Desired Skills
  • Familiarity with Agile tools such at GITLAB
  • Ability to work with small teams in close environments
  • GPS Control Segment Engineering experience
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00
