Job summary

7Th Sky Tech is seeking a Software Engineer – SIL/HIL to join our engineering team in Charlotte. The role focuses on developing, integrating, testing, and validating embedded software in SIL and HIL environments.

The ideal candidate has 2–6 years of experience in embedded software testing, strong C/C++ and Python skills, and a solid understanding of verification processes. Hybrid work and full-time employment are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related engineering field.
• 2–6 years of hands-on experience in software testing for embedded systems.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python, with MATLAB/Simulink preferred.
• Solid understanding of SIL, HIL, MIL, and automated testing concepts.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting.
• Familiarity with version-control systems such as Git and CI/CD tooling.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SIL and HIL test environments for embedded software validation.
• Design, develop, and execute automated test cases and scenarios.
• Perform software integration, verification, and validation activities.
• Develop simulation models and test setups for real-time hardware/software testing.
• Analyze test results, identify failures, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Debug embedded software issues using appropriate tools.
• Integrate software components with HIL/SIL platforms and test benches.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar tools.
• Maintain test scripts, configurations, simulation models, and documentation.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, and test engineers to resolve defects.
• Participate in requirements analysis, test planning, execution, and reporting.
• Support continuous integration and automated regression testing.
• Ensure testing activities comply with development and quality processes.
