PNC is seeking a Sr Software Engineer in their AML Technology group, based in Birmingham, AL (also open to Pittsburgh, Cleveland or Dallas). You will design, build, test, and maintain applications, while addressing complex business needs and documenting procedures.

The role emphasizes data architecture, Hadoop ecosystems, and scripting with Spark and Python. The position requires a university degree and 3+ years of direct experience.

Position Overview

As a Software Engineer Sr within PNC's AML Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Dallas, TX; or Birmingham, AL.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new applications, maintain existing applications, and support RTB functions.
• Propose and design software solutions to address complex business needs.
• Write code, test, and deploy software.
• Prepare technical and procedural documentation required for software.
• Maintain and debug software.

Technical Skills

• Apache Spark 3, Python, shell scripting.
• Hadoop and Cloudera administration, Hadoop tables/HDFS file processing.
• Data and system architecture experience.
• Data modeling with Erwin.
• Tools such as Alation or other data mining/reporting tools.

Qualifications

• University/college degree or comparable combination of education, certifications, and experience.
• 3+ years of relevant, direct industry experience.
• Knowledge in application development, business management, customer solutions, design, group problem solving, process improvements, release management, shell scripting, software solutions, and user experience design.
• Competencies in application delivery processes, architecture, testing, system development life cycle, technical troubleshooting, and documentation.

Education

University/college degree (or equivalent) required; 3+ years of relevant industry experience.

Certifications & Licenses

No required certification or license.

Base Salary

$55,000.00 – $172,250.00 (salary may vary by location, market data, and individual skills). Incentive eligible.
