Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a Software Engineer to join a high‑energy team in Salt Lake City. You will write clean, maintainable code using modern engineering practices, with emphasis on unit testing, source control, CI/CD, and automation.

As a Scrum team member, you will contribute to delivering solutions aligned with architecture, coding standards, and policies while collaborating with developers, QE, and operations to ensure smooth deployment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software & systems development in SMB environments.
• Experience with C#, Java, JavaScript and SQL databases.
• Strong problem solving and OOP understanding (SOLID).
• Familiarity with RESTful services and SOA concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD, testing, automation and design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Protect confidential data and ensure secure handling of information.
• Analyze, implement, test, document and maintain software with minimal oversight.
• Assist in estimating and planning across the SDLC.
• Collaborate with developers, QE, ops and support to deploy and operate.
