Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a Software Engineer to join a high‑energy team focused on delivering scalable software for savings platforms. You will write clean code, apply design patterns, and participate in a rapid development and deployment pipeline with automation and testing as core practices.

Responsibilities include analyzing, implementing, testing and maintaining applications while collaborating across engineering, QA and operations to meet business goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software and systems development in SMB environments.
• Proficient in C#, Java, JavaScript and SQL Server/Sybase.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major programming language (C# or Java).
• Strong OO design, data structures and algorithms knowledge.
• Experience building RESTful services and open source development.
• Familiar with Agile, CI/CD, and automated testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software applications with minimal supervision to meet business goals.
• Analyze, test, document and contribute to software with a focus on quality.
• Estimate and plan software development activities throughout the life cycle.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, operations and support for smooth deployment.
