Job summary

Plaid in Seattle is seeking a Software Engineer to design and build scalable backend or fullstack systems that power how millions connect to financial data and payments. You will work across the stack with engineers, product managers, and designers to ship features that improve access to financial services.

You will own parts of the codebase, write tests, and contribute to a culture of ownership, growth, and rapid iteration at Plaid.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to ship reliable systems at scale.
• Strong problem-solving and ownership.

Responsibilities

• System Design & Development: Build and maintain scalable backend or fullstack systems and APIs.
• Collaboration: Work with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver features.
• Code Quality: Write clean, well-tested code and participate in reviews.
• Testing & Debugging: Build automated tests and monitor performance in production.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to design discussions and share best practices.
