The anticipated salary range for this role is between $85,000.00 and $170,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualification, experiences, and analysis of current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at time of hire. Job Summary

Jenius Bank is looking for a hands-on Software Engineer - Data proficient in Java, Scala, and Python languages. You'll be part of the team that is responsible for building Data and Analytics Platform for the Digital Bank Unit. As a Software Engineer - Data on the team, you will get an opportunity to perform proof of concept on new cloud technologies and build a highly scalable, data platform to support critical business functions, create rest APIs to expose data services for internal and external consumers.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Have solid experience and understanding of large-scale solutioning and operationalization of data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics platforms on GCP.
• Monitor the Data Lake constantly and ensure support teams are engaged appropriately.
• Design, build, and test scalable data ingestion pipelines, automating ETL processes for datasets.
• Extract application telemetry data, structure it, and send it to appropriate tools for reporting (Kafka, Splunk).
• Create reports to monitor usage data for billing and SLA tracking.
• Work with business and cross-functional teams to gather and document requirements.
• Support the availability and performance of ETL/ELT jobs.
• Provide technical assistance and cross-training to team members.
• Collaborate with business partners for continuous improvement.

Position Specifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
• 6+ years in Data Engineering, focusing on Data Warehousing and Analytics.
• 4+ years experience with leading public clouds.
• 4+ years designing and building scalable data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, and experience with Notebooks.
• At least 1 year hands-on experience with GCP data projects (Dataflow, DataProc, etc.).
• 2+ years experience in Data governance and Metadata Management.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and update stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, including technical documentation and interaction with senior management.
