Job Description

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer for our JUDI program. If you are a software leader with experience influencing others, this might be the role for you!

The Software Engineer Principal IT is responsible for designing technology solutions that meet resiliency, stability, non-functional, functional, and operational readiness use cases. This role involves ongoing development, maintenance, support, and architecture of existing systems and platforms. It also provides thought leadership, champions software architecture, engineering best practices, innovative solutions, and Agile and DevOps methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design technology solutions to ensure resiliency, stability, and operational readiness
• Maintain and support existing systems and platforms
• Lead in software engineering best practices, innovative solutions, Agile, and DevOps
• Participate in staffing to identify SMEs and provide performance feedback
• Own technology solutions, including proactive monitoring, alerting, and communicating system health and future plans
• Collaborate with Architecture, Infrastructure, and Security teams to ensure optimal system design
• Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience; High School Diploma or GED required
• 8+ years of technical experience in application development or software implementation
• Continuous education on technology trends
• Experience with multiple development and support methodologies
• Leadership skills to manage, influence, mentor, and give feedback within teams
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Technical Skills

• Experience with GCP, AWS, Redshift
• Java full stack development
• Strong database skills in MongoDB, Postgres
• Experience with WS02 and Dynatrace

Physical Demands

• Travel up to 5%
• Flexible schedule including weekends/shifts outside core hours
• Physical ability to sit, handle, talk, hear, reach, stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs

Potential salary ranges from $108,000 to $184,000, based on experience and skills.
