Job summary

Google Beam is a true-to-life new communication technology from Google that enables real face-to-face conversations across distances. It uses 3D imaging and spatial audio and integrates with leading video platforms to immerse users in the moment.

As part of the Google Beam team, you’ll work on the core meeting experience, ensure low-latency interactions between apps and services, and collaborate across ChromeOS, Android, and ARCVM to deliver scalable features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in C++.
• 2 years of experience with full stack development across back-end (Java, Python, Golang, or C++) and front-end (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS).

Responsibilities

• Build the experience that powers the core meeting experience.
• Orchestrate the communication between user-facing applications and native client services (C++ and Go) with low latency and high reliability.
• Work across ChromeOS, Android, and ARCVM ecosystems to bring experiences to life.
• Collaborate with the Google Meet team and third-party vendors to integrate Beam features at scale.
