Job summary

Google's Beam team is seeking a software engineer to build and integrate the next-generation communication experiences across ChromeOS, Android, and ARCVM. You will help scale meeting features, work across back-end (C++, Go) and front-end (JavaScript/TypeScript/HTML/CSS) codebases, and collaborate with partners to deliver reliable, low-latency experiences.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree with 2 years in C++ and full-stack development; Master/PhD preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in C++.
• 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end and front-end using Java, Python, Golang, JavaScript/TypeScript/HTML/CSS.

Responsibilities

• Build the experience that powers the core meeting experience.
• Orchestrate the communication between user-facing applications and native client services (written in C++ and Go).
• Work across ChromeOS, Android, and ARCVM ecosystems to bring experiences to life.
• Collaborate with the Google Meet team and third-party meeting vendors to integrate Beam features into the broader ecosystem.
