Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in data analysis, data mining, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other relevant data analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods and data visualization techniques.
  • Experience working with large datasets and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Interest or background in genealogy, history, or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively across teams.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and marketing teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable solutions.
  • Design and implement data collection processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Assist in the development of predictive models and machine learning algorithms to enhance user experience and personalization.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data-driven initiatives, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data analysis and genealogy technology.
