Software Engineer, Race Operations SystemsRichard Childress Racing | Welcome, North Carolina | Full time Reports to the Director of Development and InnovationThe jobEvery Sunday a Cup race is decided by information. You build the software that moves that information: the pipelines that pull data off the car, out of the simulation, and in from the sanctioning body, and the internal apps our engineers open on a race weekend. The ideal candidate will have development experience, with a strong background in system architecture, and competency across the full stack. You inherit a working set of applications, you own them, and you decide what gets built next. You report straight to the Director of Development and Innovation and you will have a direct line to the people setting the technical direction of the race team. What you will doOwn the full lifecycle of our internal applications: design, build, deploy, maintain, retire. Some of it alone, some with a small team.Build and maintain the data pipelines that collect, clean, and stage data for automated analysis.Create high-performing applications within the bounds of external constraints, seeking creative and efficient solutions to problems.Ship full-stack internal tools that engineers use on a race weekend, which means they have to be fast, right, and ready by Friday.Run CI/CD and source control.
