Overview

Hendrick Motorsports, a leading NASCAR Motorsports operation, is seeking a highly motivated engineering student or recent graduate to join us as a Project and Race Support Engineer Intern for Spring 2027.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to plan and execute projects as needed.
  • Track and report project progress.
  • Perform and assist in data collection, spreadsheet creation, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Create basic tools to support race day activities.
  • Support race teams through reports, data analytics, and other tasks before, during, and after races.
  • Assist with pre‑event, event, and post‑event reports.
  • Support race day team activities.

  • Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of managing large datasets and quickly prototyping solutions; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management; basic knowledge of analytical tools and programming skills.
  • Eligibility Requirements: Duration 5–12 months.
  • Work Schedule: Weekdays from 7:00 am – 4:00 pm typically, with weekend support during practice, qualifying and race events.
