Zebra is seeking a WLAN Testing and Solutions Engineer in Holtsville, NY. The role focuses on validating and designing WLAN/Bluetooth solutions, maintaining lab environments, and developing automated test suites that ensure robust wireless performance across Zebra devices.

By maintaining and updating our core lab environments and developing automated test suites, you directly contribute to the quality and reliability of the connectivity modules inside millions of Zebra devices globally. Location: Role is based in Holtsville, NY - Hybrid/3 days onsite## Responsibilities:* Establishes requirements for less complex Android networking software components and network protocol stack designs.* Works on Completing all phases of software engineering design and WLAN testing projects.* Works on analysis of test processes and delivers results to necessary stakeholders.* Analyzes test results and recommends solutions for wireless performance.* Works on developing expected results on a variety of Zebra mobile products.* Develops documentation for new projects (including functional test plans and requirements) and reviews previous results.* Works with latest technologies and new approaches in automated and manual WLAN testing.* Reviews changes or upgrades to existing designs or tests.* Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions on assignments. ## Qualifications:Minimum* Bachelor’s degree in engineering - Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering/ Electronics Engineering.* Solid understanding of WiFi 802.11 principles and functionality. Must be able to speak to topics including Wi-Fi roaming logic, security protocols, TCP/IP, DHCP, etc.* Experience with embedded systems and Android Automation using Python, Perl etc Preferred:* Basic understanding of machine learning concepts (training, validation, overfitting, evaluation metrics)* Proficient in defining the Wi-Fi solution test setup, installing, and configuring to meet multiple enterprise use case.* Familiar with Android debugging capability and able to pull logs, read logs and narrow down the area of problem.* Capable in handling Wireshark and omni peek wireless sniffer tools to capture wireless packets and analyze the network and device problems for various 802.11 protocols.* Proficient in installing and configuring different Wi-Fi infrastructure access point and wireless controller from Cisco, Aruba, Extreme, Ruckus etc.* Quantitative and problem-solving skills.
