Job summary

Zebra Technologies is seeking a seasoned Electrical/Mechatronics engineer to lead hands-on R&D in Morris Plains, NJ. You will design, run, and evaluate bench-scale experiments, material trials, and chemical formulations to accelerate product development and validate new technologies.

The role requires RF/antenna design exposure, PCB schematic capture experience, and proficiency with advanced lab instrumentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Mechatronics/Mechanical with a related minor.
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB design.
  • RF/antenna design exposure (NFC, UHF RFID, BLE, WiFi).
  • Operate and maintain advanced analytical lab instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, prepare, and physically execute bench-scale experiments and material trials in the R&D lab.
  • Evaluate material properties, analyze data, and present insights to stakeholders.
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain analytical laboratory instrumentation.
  • Contribute to invention disclosures and patent filings; support project needs.
