Siemens EDA is a global technology leader in EDA software. We seek a Principal Engineer for the QuestaSim R&D team to architect simulation tools and take ownership from conception through delivery.

You will work with a senior group of engineers on challenging, high-impact projects in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates have extensive software engineering experience, deep C/C++ and compiler expertise, and a strong background in UNIX/Linux.

Qualifications

• 15–25 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++, data structures, and algorithms.
• Deep expertise in compiler concepts and optimizations.
• Experience working on UNIX and Linux platforms.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Develop and architect cutting-edge algorithms and software design solutions for industry-leading simulation tools.
• Lead the conceptualization, definition, and implementation of complex, open-ended problem scopes and innovative ideas.

Position Overview

Join the QuestaSim (Simulation) R&D team at Siemens EDA as a Principal Engineer and drive innovation in simulation technology. In this role, you'll architect cutting-
edge algorithms and software solutions that power industry-leading simulation tools. Working alongside a senior group of engineers, you'll tackle complex technical challenges in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of strategic initiatives from conception through delivery. Your technical expertise, problem-solving acumen, and leadership will directly shape the future of electronic design automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Proven experience working on UNIX and/or LINUX platforms
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a track record of delivering results independently
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution

The pay range for this position is $154,200 - $277,600 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
