Job summary

Aegis Aerospace is seeking a Software Engineer (Orion Simulation) to support the Orion program in Denver, CO. The role is hybrid with onsite presence required at least three days per week to work on simulation software validating spacecraft flight systems.

Qualifications

• US Citizen required and a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency with Python 3.10 and C++20 in Linux environments.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle including verification and validation.
• Experience with simulation software and modeling for testing spacecraft systems.
• Familiarity with DOORS or similar requirements management tools.
• Experience with network protocols and multi-threaded applications.
• Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance simulation software used to test spacecraft systems.
• Design models that replicate spacecraft systems and interfaces.
• Develop using Python 3.10 and C++20 in Linux environments.
• Run simulations, analyze results, and verify performance against requirements.
• Support verification, validation, unit and integration testing.
• Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to integrate into testing environments.
• Contribute to requirements management and design reviews.
