Aalyria is seeking a software engineer to join the Spacetime team, designing and building high-performance systems for complex network-resource allocation. You will translate requirements into computational models, improve scalability and explainability, and evolve solver architecture to handle increasing load.

The role offers a hybrid remote/in-office setup with a focus on collaboration among seasoned engineers and exposure to national security initiatives in aerospace communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years experience designing and developing production software systems.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, software design, testing, and debugging.
• Experience building algorithmically complex, computationally intensive, or performance-sensitive software.
• Proficiency in Golang, C/C++, Rust, or Java.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer to join our core Spacetime engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring a solid technical background and a proven track record in solving complex engineering challenges. As a software engineer on the Spacetime team, you will play an integral role in developing and optimizing systems critical to our business, with the flexibility to contribute to and take ownership of various projects as both you and the company grow.

You will be working alongside a team of seasoned engineers from top-tier tech companies, managing project priorities, timelines, and deliverables while designing, developing, testing, and maintaining core software.

Key Responsibilities:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with numerical optimization, mathematical programming, or solver development (e.g., LP/MIP/QP solvers, gradient-based methods, or metaheuristics).
• Experience with performance profiling, numerical accuracy, and debugging complex computational systems.
• Experience with distributed or cloud-based compute systems.
• Familiarity with telecommunications, networking, logistics, planning, or other adjacent domains.
