Aalyria, a leading technology company specializing in laser communications and temporospatial software-defined networking for aerospace, is seeking a Software Engineer for the Spacetime team. You will work with experienced engineers on core software development, optimization, testing, and delivery of high-performance systems.

The role emphasizes tackling complex problems, scalable solver architectures, and collaboration across disciplines, with hybrid remote/in-office options and opportunities

Qualifications

• 8 years experience designing and developing production software systems.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, software design, testing, and debugging.
• Experience building algorithmically complex, computationally intensive, or performance-sensitive software.
• Proficiency in Golang, C/C , Rust, or Java.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer to join our core Spacetime engineering team. We value engineers who are adaptable, proactive, and eager to tackle new challenges as we advance our technology. The ideal candidate will bring a solid technical background and a proven track record in solving complex engineering challenges. As a software engineer on the Spacetime team, you will play an integral role in developing and optimizing systems critical to our business, with the flexibility to contribute to and take ownership of various projects as both you and the company grow.

You will be working alongside a team of seasoned engineers from top-tier tech companies, managing project priorities, timelines, and deliverables while designing, developing, testing, and maintaining core software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build high-performance optimization and scheduling systems for complex network-resource allocation problems.

• Experience with performance profiling, numerical accuracy, and debugging complex computational systems.


• Experience with distributed or cloud-based compute systems.


• Familiarity with telecommunications, networking, logistics, planning, or other adjacent domains.
