Software Engineer (NodeJS/NextJS)

Job Summary: Talent Software Services is seeking a Software Engineer (NodeJS/NextJS) for a contract position in MN (Remote). The contract duration is six months with a strong possibility of extension.

• The Software Engineer will design, develop, and support the existing application.
• Work closely with the team lead for assignments and collaborate with business users and other IT teams to gather requirements.
• Design and build back-end services supporting data-centric clinical and analytic applications leveraging cloud computing, big data, mobile, data science, data warehousing, and machine learning.
• Ensure cloud-based micro-services meet uptime, accuracy, resilience, and scalability targets.
• Collaborate with data engineering, platform, and solutions teams to develop applications benefiting practice and patients.
• Translate requirements into code with Product Owners, Managers, and Architects.
• Develop services around data warehousing, big data, cloud computing, BI, analytics, and machine learning.
• Participate in DevOps, Agile, continuous development, and integration frameworks.
• Programming in high-level languages such as Go, Python, Java, etc.
• Work on deployment automation and configuration management using tools like ADO, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Azure Pipelines, CloudFormation, Terraform following a DevOps model.
• Create and maintain documentation of processes and source code.
• Communicate effectively across the organization.
• Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Continuously build knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers.
• Perform straightforward assignments using prescribed guidelines, with moderate guidance.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in software development/support using NextJS and React, including API creation.
• At least 5 years of experience with relational databases and SQL.
• At least 5 years of cloud engineering experience with Azure or GCP.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Java and Spring frameworks.
• Experience with Agile Scrum processes.
• Experience with Microsoft ADO, build pipelines, etc.
• Experience with Google BigQuery.
