Job summary

ZipRecruiter is recruiting software engineers for hybrid roles based at our Santa Monica headquarters. You will participate in design, implementation, testing, and production deployment of user-facing applications at scale.

You will build understanding of the business and systems, write high-quality code with tests, and contribute to Kubernetes-based deployments while exploring Big Data, Full Stack, or Machine Learning tracks.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a full-time CS degree or related technical field with an expected graduation date in 2027.
• OR a recent graduate with graduation date Spring 2025 to Fall 2026.
• Demonstrated foundation in software engineering through internship or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluency with at least one general purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C++, Javascript).
• Interest in specializing in Big Data, Full Stack, or Machine Learning.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule from our Santa Monica headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Take part in the full life cycle of user-facing applications at scale, from design to implementation and testing to production.
• Develop a strong understanding of the business, industry, codebase, and systems.
• Write, test, instrument, and deploy high quality code with good test coverage in a Kubernetes environment.
• Help drive the innovation and evolution of ZipRecruiter.
