Job summary

ZipRecruiter is seeking a software engineering intern for a 12-16 week summer program in our Santa Monica office. You will participate in the full lifecycle of user-facing applications, from design to testing and production, and contribute to our Kubernetes-based environment.

The role emphasizes learning through sprint work, code quality, and becoming more specialized in Big Data, Full Stack, or Machine Learning.

Qualifications

• Fluency in at least one general purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Java).
• Demonstrated foundation in software engineering through internship or related experience.
• Ability to work in-person in Santa Monica for the summer.

Responsibilities

• Take part in the full life cycle of user-facing applications at scale, from design to implementation and testing to production.
• Develop a strong understanding of the business, codebase, and systems.
• Write, test, and deploy high quality code with test coverage in a Kubernetes environment.
• Help drive the innovation and evolution of ZipRecruiter.
