Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for Network Product Development (NPD) Interconnects Tools and Metrics. You will design, build, and operate software that monitors and manages interconnect products across the AWS fleet, with ML model serving and data analytics at the core.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable systems, participate in on-call rotations, and mentor teammates while advancing fleet performance and availability for AWS

Qualifications

3+ years of professional software development experience.
2+ years in design/architecture focusing on scalable systems.
1+ years of SDE or related experience.
Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related field.
Experience programming in at least one language.
1+ years of OO design experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, deploy, and operate software systems for the NPD Interconnects team across the AWS fleet.
Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and tooling for optical transceivers and fiber connectivity.
Build and maintain data ingestion, processing, and storage systems for telemetry data and dashboards.
Design and deliver distributed systems that orchestrate testing and troubleshooting workflows across AWS regions.
Collaborate with Applied Scientists to build ML/model serving infrastructure and operationalize models.
