Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design and implement scalable, distributed systems in a large computing environment.

You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive and ship innovative products and services to customers. The role emphasizes ownership, coding in C#, C++, Java, or Perl, and experience with design patterns, reliability, and performance at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design/architecture experience for large scale systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software
• 1+ years of OO design experience
• Experience programming with at least one programming language
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
• Design and build technologies in a large distributed computing environment for scalable solutions.
• Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems at large scale and speed.
• Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable and fault-tolerant.
• Design and code the right solutions starting from broadly defined problems.
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
