Job summary

LastPass is seeking a Software Engineer (.NET) to build and evolve the backend commerce and payment platforms that support subscriptions, billing, and global payment processing. The role focuses on modernizing critical systems, improving reliability, and delivering integrations with payment providers.

You will work in a core commerce engineering team responsible for powering global e-commerce, billing, and payment processing, primarily using .NET with occasional Angular.

LastPass is looking for a Software Engineer (.NET):

As a .NET Engineer on the team, you will build and evolve the backend commerce and payment platforms that support LastPass subscriptions, billing, and global payment processing. You will help modernize critical systems, strengthen platform reliability, and deliver integrations with payment providers.

About the Team:

This Team is a core commerce engineering team within LastPass’s Data & Commerce Cluster. The team is responsible for architecting, scaling, and maintaining the core backend platforms that power global e-commerce, billing, and payment processing for LastPass.

We are working mostly with .NET, in rare cases using Angular.

Who will you work with?

You will work closely with fellow .NET engineers, SDETs, QA engineers, database developers, and engineering leaders to build, test, and support reliable commerce and payment services. You will collaborate with Product, Finance, Data, Operations, and other engineering to deliver secure, seamless payment experiences for LastPass customers.

• Developing scalable .NET services and REST APIs. Delivering payment gateway integrations and regional payment methods
• Contribute to planning and delivery of features in collaboration with a dynamic team
• Advocate for non-functional requirements and cost-effective solutions. Develop, test, and maintain solutions within your domain
• Collaborate with other teams, engage in decision-making, and influence technical direction
• Contribute to a successful, customer-facing application, shaping it with new features to meet user needs

What does it take to work at LastPass?

• Proficient in C# and .NET Core for web app development
• Skilled in REST API creation and consumption
• Experienced with relational databases and EF Core
• Familiar with OOP best practices, Docker, and web security
• Good communication skills
• Collaborative team player excelling in problem-solving

It's great, but not required:

• Experience with microservice architecture
• Experience in Commerce systems and different payment providers
• Zuora developer knowledge
• Experience with AWS including secret manager (or other Cloud provider) and background services
• Foundational experience with Angular
