Job summary

SimTech, Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Software Engineer, Mid-Level to join a diverse, growth-focused team. The role involves developing in C++ and Python, enabling model and tool development, integration, execution, testing, and V&V for DoD-related programs.

You will design and optimize software with CUDA and GPU programming, ensure scalable performance, and contribute to architecture decisions. A 5+ year background in software development and a DoD-relevant background is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS/CE/Math/Physics/Engineering.
• 5+ years in software development and modeling & simulation environments.
• 3-5 years experience in C++, Python and real-time GPU programming.
• Experience with CUDA and parallel processing.
• Experience with software integration, testing and validation.
• Proficient in Linux-based development and version control.
• Experience with DoD/defense programs and HPC applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide software development for C++ and Python in model and tool development, integration, execution, test, analysis and V&V.
• Design and implement complex software in C++, CUDA, and Python as defined from architectural definitions.
• Maintain data integrity and optimize code for distributive and/or parallel processing.
• Implement advanced mathematical algorithms for calculations, transformations, and processes defined by specifications.
• Apply software engineering expertise to support design, development, testing, deployment of assets.
• Evaluate objectives and assignments, select appropriate engineering techniques, and adapt solutions.
• Other Responsibilities As Assigned.
