Job summary

SimTech, Inc. in Huntsville, AL seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join a diverse team. You will design, develop, and optimize high-performance software in C++ and Python, with CUDA acceleration, for model and tool development and V&V activities.

You will work on complex mathematical algorithms, leverage Linux environments, and contribute to DoD-oriented programs while mentoring junior engineers and supporting secure operations at a strategic level.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS/CE/Math/Physics/Engineering
• 10+ years of professional software development experience
• 3–5 years of C++, Python and GPU (CUDA) programming experience
• Experience with GPU programming and parallel processing
• Experience developing, integrating, testing, and validating software applications/tools
• Experience implementing complex algorithms and data processing solutions
• Proficiency in Linux-based development environments
• Experience with software configuration management and SDLC
• Experience supporting DoD/MDA/defense programs
• Active DoD security clearance (Secret) required
• Experience HPC applications and distributed/parallel processing optimization
• Strong communication and mentorship skills

Responsibilities

• Develop software in C++ and Python for models, tools, and V&V activities
• Design and implement complex software using C++, CUDA, and Python
• Maintain data integrity and optimize for distributed/parallel processing
• Implement advanced mathematical algorithms and data transformations
• Provide software engineering expertise across design, development, testing and deployment
• Evaluate objectives and select appropriate engineering techniques
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
