Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience on large systems.
• 1+ years of designing and developing multi-tiered, distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Search relevancy and ranking across AWS Marketplace catalog.
• Query understanding and intent classification to determine customer needs.
• Embedding pipelines and hybrid retrieval architectures (BM25 + vector search).
• ML model integration for ranking, content enrichment, and signal normalization.
• Evaluation frameworks—golden datasets, offline metrics (NDCG, MRR), A/B testing infrastructure.
• APIs consumed by the Marketplace site, AWS console integrations, and AI-powered agent experiences.
• On-call and operational excellence for a system handling every query.
