Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Software Engineer for its Battlespace Awareness team. You will provide software engineering support for core tools and help stand up ML infrastructure to improve parameter optimization and detect CI regressions. The role demands strong programming in Python, C++, or Rust, plus real-time, low-latency software experience.

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and pursue a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Proficient in one or more of Python, Rust, C++, or C with professional use.
• Solid software fundamentals: OO, FP, REST API design.
• Experience building low-latency or real-time software.
• Experience testing: Robot Framework and integration tests.
• Comfortable with AI coding assistants (Claude or Codex).
• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
• Must be authorized to work in the US and eligible for an active TS/SC clearance.

At Anduril, our Battlespace Awareness Command and Control Software team specializes in solving complex, real-world problems through cutting-edge algorithms and intelligent software integrations. About the Job

We are looking to hire a Software Engineer to join our growing Battlespace Awareness team. In this role, you'll provide software engineering and development support for several of the team's core tools, and for candidates with an ML background, help stand up new ML infrastructure that improves how the team optimizes system parameters and detects performance regressions in CI.

Required Qualifications

• Professional experience in one or more of Python, Rust, C++, or C, with a clear track record of using these languages professionally
• Solid software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, functional programming, and REST API design
• Experience building low-latency or real-time software
• Experience with software testing, including Robot Framework testing and integration test development
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants (Claude or Codex) as part of your day-to-day workflow
• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Python FastAPI
• CesiumJS
• Experience with faster-than-real-time (FTRT) simulation
• Machine learning background (Master's, PhD, or 2–3+ years of professional experience), particularly in:
• Hyperparameter optimization
• Anomaly detection
• Explainable ML (e.g., Bayesian ML)
• Experience building Slackbot integrations.

US Salary Range

$165,000 - $218,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
