Job summary

Anduril Industries is hiring a Software Engineer to join the Battlespace Awareness team. You will contribute to software development for core tools and help deploy ML infrastructure to optimize system parameters and detect performance regressions in CI.

The role focuses on real-time, low-latency software with strong emphasis on testing, GitHub workflows, and secure operations. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and eligible for a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in Python, Rust, C++, or C with a track record of using these languages
• Solid software engineering fundamentals: OOP, FP, REST API design
• Experience building low-latency or real-time software
• Experience with Robot Framework testing and integration test development
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants (Claude or Codex) as part of day-to-day workflow
• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

About the Job

We are looking to hire a Software Engineer to join our growing Battlespace Awareness team. In this role, you’ll provide software engineering and development support for several of the team’s core tools, and for candidates with an ML background, help stand up new ML infrastructure that improves how the team optimizes system parameters and detects performance regressions in CI.

Required Qualifications

• Professional experience in one or more of Python, Rust, C++, or C, with a clear track record of using these languages professionally
• Solid software engineering fundamentals, including object‑oriented programming, functional programming, and REST API design
• Experience building low‑latency or real‑time software
• Experience with software testing, including Robot Framework testing and integration test development
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants (Claude or Codex) as part of your day‑to‑day workflow
• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Python FastAPI
• CesiumJS
• Experience with faster‑than‑real‑time (FTRT) simulation
• Machine learning background (Master’s, PhD, or 2–3+ years of professional experience), particularly in:
• Hyperparameter optimization
• Anomaly detection
• Explainable ML (e.g., Bayesian ML)
• Experience building Slackbot integrations.

US Salary Range

$165,000 - $218,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
