JetHead Development Inc. in Poway, CA is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer for a full-time, on-site role.

You will develop user-space applications on embedded devices, optimize libraries, and collaborate with clients to tailor solutions while ensuring high-quality code in C/C++, Bash, and Python.

Candidates must have 7+ years of experience, strong Linux expertise, TCP/IP knowledge, and the ability to work without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• We require 7+ years of embedded software experience.
• Strong Linux user-space development experience.
• Solid TCP/IP and network protocol knowledge.
• Proficiency in C/C++ user-space development with scripting in BASH and Python.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer-facing roles.
• Ability to work on-site in Poway, CA in the U.S.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• We implement user-space applications on embedded devices.
• We port and optimize software libraries for embedded platforms.
• Assemble, maintain, and troubleshoot code in C/C++, BASH, and Python.
• We perform Linux embedded development including user-space and system-level debugging.
• Investigate and resolve performance issues in embedded environments.
• We collaborate with customers to define technical needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• We work directly with clients in a customer-facing, on-site role.
