Job summary

ADVANTAGE ENGINEERING & IT SOLUTIONS, INC. seeks a Software Engineer Level 2 for an on-site, in-person role in the Annapolis Junction, Maryland area. Top Secret SCI clearance with appropriate polygraph is required.

Compensation ranges from $158,000 to $170,000 annually. Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software, integrating systems, optimizing databases, and contributing to Agile processes.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical efforts and mentoring engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical execution across development teams.
• Drive software quality, performance optimization, and process improvements.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and engineering approaches.
• Serve as a technical lead for large-scale software development initiatives.
