Job summary

Independent Software, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer Level 2 to support monitoring and automation in Linux-based enterprise environments.

You will work with engineering and infrastructure teams on Zabbix development, scripting, and system integration to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. The role requires DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification is highly recommended but not required on day one, and an active TS SCI with polygraph is required for consideration.

What You Will Do

As a Software Engineer Level 2 at Independent Software, you will support the development and maintenance of monitoring and automation solutions within Linux-based enterprise environments. In this role, you will work with engineering and infrastructure teams to support Zabbix development efforts, scripting, and system integration activities in mission-focused environments. You will contribute to the implementation and support of monitoring capabilities, automation scripts, and operational tooling while collaborating with technical teams to maintain reliable and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Zabbix development and integration efforts within enterprise environments
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation using Python, Java, C/C++, and related scripting languages
• Support software development and troubleshooting activities within Linux environments
• Collaborate with engineers and infrastructure teams to support operational requirements
• Assist with system monitoring, automation, and deployment support activities

• Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
