Aeitsinc is looking for a Software Engineer, Level 1 in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. The position requires on-site work in a SCIF environment, supporting mission-critical systems with a salary range of $133,000 to $143,000 annually.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and proficiency in technologies like Java, Python, and Docker among others.

The role includes responsibilities like software design, testing, deployment, and maintaining complex software solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience supporting programs of similar scope and complexity.
• 4 years of additional Software Engineer experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for bachelor's degree.

AEITS, a GTSC company, seeks a Software Engineer, Level 1.

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland area

All work is on-site, in-person in a SCIF environment. This is not a hybrid or remote position.

Clearance: Top Secret SCI with appropriate polygraph.

Compensation: $133,000 - 143,000 annual salary.

Mission:

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain complex software solutions supporting mission‑critical systems, large‑scale data processing, advanced analytics, and enterprise applications.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze user and system requirements to develop software design solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Integrate software into new and existing systems and operating environments.
• Develop and optimize database interfaces, queries, and data repositories.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and design artifacts.
• Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, development, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver mission‑focused solutions.
• Support software quality assurance, configuration management, and release activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience supporting programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4 years of additional Software Engineer experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for bachelor's degree.

Experience with one or more of the following technologies:

• Java, Python, JavaScript
