Job summary

COLSA Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer to apply broad software engineering knowledge across documentation, design, validation, and DevOps for cloud and non-cloud applications.

Responsibilities include planning, requirements analysis, and SDLC adherence, with emphasis on agile techniques and procurement processes. U.S. citizenship and Top Secret DoD clearance are required, reflecting the security-sensitive nature of the work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field with at least 3 years of experience, DoD preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship required; Top Secret DoD clearance
  • Experience with software development life cycle and documentation is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Assess feasibility by evaluating requirements, solutions and proposed approaches.
  • Document and demonstrate solutions with clear code, diagrams, and comments.
  • Design system specifications, standards, and programming approaches.
  • Improve operations by analyzing systems and recommending policy changes.
  • Acquire and license software by evaluating vendors and testing products.
  • Collect and summarize development and service issues to provide insights.
  • Develop software solutions by studying needs, data usage, and workflows.

Job description

COLSA Corporation is currently seeking a Software Engineer that will perform work that applies a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of software engineering to include but not be limited to reviewing, preparing, and analyzing all types of documentation, planning, requirements, design, Validation and Verification, support, and test--to include source code, configuration files, and engineering resolution support.


Responsibilities may also include. but are not limited to:



  • Determining operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions

  • Documenting and demonstrating solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code

  • Preparing and installing solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming

  • Improving operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures

  • Obtaining and licensing software by obtaining required information from vendors, recommending purchases, testing, and approving products

  • Providing information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues

  • Accomplishing engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed

  • Developing software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following the software development life cycle

  • Plan and or implement agile acquisition/software development techniques

  • Plan and or implement DevOps processes and techniques for Cloud and non-cloud applications

  • Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience

    • Bachelors Degree in related field and at least 3 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 3 of which must be in DoD

    • High School Diploma (or equivalent) and at least 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional disciplined being performed, 5 of which must be DoD


  • U.S. Citizenship required; Must have a current/active Top Secret DoD security clearance

Salary Type
