Concept Solutions, LLC (CS) is seeking a Software Engineer – Java & Pega Integration to support a DoW modernization program in Reston, VA. The role focuses on integrating Java Spring Boot applications with a Pega status tracker and maintaining a unified, reliable platform.

The candidate will work hybrid with on-site government facilities as needed, 40 hours/week, and 0–10% travel. Requires 4+ years of Java/Spring Boot and Pega experience, plus an active Secret clearance preferred.

Concept Solutions, LLC (CS) is seeking a Software Engineer – Java & Pega Integration to support a mission-critical application modernization program for a Department of War (DoW) customer.

This program focuses on simplifying access across a portfolio of production applications by providing a unified sign-on experience, a common work surface, and a repeatable approach for integrating applications into a shared platform.

The Software Engineer will support the integration and sustainment of Java Spring Boot applications with a Pega-based status tracking system, ensuring seamless functionality while maintaining the reliability of existing applications.

Application Integration & Sustainment

• Maintain the API gateway integration between a Java Spring Boot application and a Pega-based status tracker.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects across Java and Pega integration boundaries.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve application defects to ensure continued system functionality.
• Apply software patches and updates in accordance with the customer's established release calendar.
• Maintain accurate and current operational runbooks to support application sustainment.

What we're looking for

• 4+ years of experience developing and supporting Java applications using Spring Boot and REST integrations.
• Hands‑on experience integrating with or developing applications on the Pega platform.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Amazon ECS/Fargate.
• Experience working within AWS GovCloud environments.
• Active Secret security clearance.

Work Location and Schedule

• Location: Hybrid. Reston, VA headquarters and approved remote locations within the United States, with on‑site work at Government facilities in Northern Virginia and Maryland as required. Government‑furnished equipment is used for all access to Government environments.
• Schedule: Full‑time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with core hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern. The team operates in two‑week sprints, with a customer demonstration each sprint.
• Travel: 0–10%, within the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
• Security Requirement: U.S. citizenship required. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance. An active Secret clearance or higher is strongly preferred and may allow an earlier start.
• Compensation: $130,000–$150,000 annually, depending on experience.

This position is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated start in October 2026.
