Reporting to the Manager, Application Development the Full Stack Software Engineer IV will work to support several of Availity’s ePro teams. Initially, this position will work on an agile team with AWS migration focus and after work on customizations and enhancements to existing products, production support. We anticipate this role to be ~60% back-end .Net development, 20% front-end React development and 20% data engineering work.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of progressive work experience designing & developing solutions for business initiatives
  • Possesses a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • Leverages or knowledgeable of the following languages & frameworks
    • .Net
    • React.js
    • SQL (Oracle, Postgres, Redshift)
    • Spark, Python
    • Apache Airflow, glue, S3
    • AWS environment
  • Development of RESTful APIs and web services
  • Designs using micro-service architecture, API development and ownership
  • Applies Object Oriented Design (OOD) principles
  • Understands database design principles & query language
  • Implements code-based unit tests, wire mocks and cucumber tests
  • Leverages Gitlab, Docker tools for delivery
  • Hands on experience with AWS eco system, infrastructure (terra form) and migration from on-premises to AWS
  • Experience writing Spark DAGs, design and build ETL/ELT pipelines to move data from source systems to data lakes/warehouses
  • Experience with Angular and/or React is required
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry is a plus
  • Writes technical documentation
  • Gathers technical requirements
  • Writes code to maintain large-scale complex systems
  • Demonstrates development best practices
  • Advocates for Agile software development methodologies
  • Designs efficient and performant solutions
  • Manages maintainable levels of technical debt
  • Works effectively with other functional teams including Leadership, Product, Security, & Architecture
  • Maintains composure and professionalism during high-pressure situations

  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities/tasks

  • Acting as a hands-on development expert across several Availity ePro products
  • Participating in agile ceremonies
  • Solving healthcare problems and improving processes
  • Incorporating development best practices
  • Having the opportunity to work full stack on front-end UI and/or backend processing
  • using such technologies as .Net, React.js, Oracle, & Postgres in AWS
  • Applying micro-service architectures
  • Developing and maintaining RESTful APIs
  • Ensuring your code is efficient, optimized, and performant
  • Collaborating on programming or development standards
  • Maintaining technical debt and applying security principles
  • Reviewing the code of others while receiving feedback to ensure code quality
  • Innovating with ideas and products to the organization
  • Performing unit testing and complex debugging to ensure quality
